Field notes before you spec
- Not for pipe with thick asphalt coating (over 2 mils) or tape wrap — the teeth must reach the pipe surface
- Tyton®-family sockets only (GG) / Fastite® sockets only (FT); underground installations only
- Concrete thrust blocking is not required in a designed restraint system (DIPRA method)
- Expect roughly twice the assembly force of a conventional gasket; keep gaskets above 40°F in cold weather
- Gaskets are single-use — do not reuse after disassembly
